I am Saving for College!

As I was a young girl, I always dreamed of attending a university. Now that my dream is finally coming true, I am saving up to pay for college. I know that scholarships, and grants from Student Financial Aid is helping me out, but they also offered me a loan, which I am going to have to pay for later. I do not want to burden my parents with college payments, so I am applying for many scholarships, and also saving.

Anniversay trip to Cancun

My husband and I have been married for 22 years and are saving for a trip to Cancun this February. This will be #23 for us and we always enjoy spending time together anywhere we go. We have 4 wonderful sons ages 21, 20, 19, and 15. We love having our family time and also our get-a-way time.

A vacation… not home because someone is sick, school field trip, helping others get work done. Time away from every day ups and downs with family to relax and enjoy each other.

We just moved into out new (older) home and we are needing a new heating system, so, we are saving for a new heat pump. May also, have to start saving for a new or used car.

And the Merry-Go-Round Broke Down…

Do you ever feel like you are on a merry-go-round that won’t stop? Well, ours just broke down completely. Not only have we decided we cannot afford the trip in November, but I have totally depleted our savings due to SEVEN out of town guests that have been staying with us for the last three weeks. It takes a lot of money to feed that many people! So, no trip in November, still owe towards our taxes, and nothing left in our WAYSF. Not a very happy place to be, but I guess we will just have to start over again! Back to a tight budget we go!
