Do you ever feel like you are on a merry-go-round that won’t stop? Well, ours just broke down completely. Not only have we decided we cannot afford the trip in November, but I have totally depleted our savings due to SEVEN out of town guests that have been staying with us for the last three weeks. It takes a lot of money to feed that many people! So, no trip in November, still owe towards our taxes, and nothing left in our WAYSF. Not a very happy place to be, but I guess we will just have to start over again! Back to a tight budget we go!

This blog asks a simple question: "What are you saving for?" Its goal is to help people set savings goals, develop a disciplined and/or systematic savings habit, and build a corresponding community of like-minded people as a support network. By laughing, crying, and discussing how we each approach this topic together, we should find it much easier to save together. So what are you saving for?
Sorry to hear this Couponcutter. Sometimes it does feel like you can’t catch a break. It stinks that you had to use the money you were saving for your vacation, but at least you were able to entertain quite a few guests for a long period of time without having to go into debt. Keep at it and your vacation will come. Saving money, like eating right and exercising, needs to be a lifelong endeavor in order for you to meet your goals.
